I don’t really care about Valentine’s Day – and don’t tell me I’m breaking girl code. I like chocolate, but I can get it whenever I want, plus I hide it all over my house. I like flowers, but I buy flowers for our kitchen every two weeks. I’m not really a jewelry person and I think many stuffed animals are creepy. Instead, I like a nice lunch date with my husband at Noodles and Company and an evening that consists of last night’s Survivor episode and some hot chocolate. Looks like it’s my lucky day.
Now, I will share the love with you that I received from my mother in law today.
Seriously, aren’t those the cutest faces you have ever seen? I’m not sure what Kennedy is doing, but that’s pretty normal.
I will also give a shout out to all the newlyweds in my life as they celebrate their first uneventful Valentine’s Day together. Welcome to the world of PJ’s and your living room on Valentine’s Day. No more ridiculous and outrageous public displays of affection. No more oversized Teddy Bears (sorry Taylor, but that is SOOO high school.)

Enjoy some peace and quiet and a nice meal at home. Every day can be Valentine’s Day for you now.
(I got all those photos from their FB pages – sorry if you aren’t friends with them, because there’s more where that came from) And one of our wedding photos too… because it was the best day ever.
