Happy hump day. I still don’t feel like I’ve adjusted to Daylight Savings Time. I’m up later in the evening and not getting up as early as I should be in the morning. It’s been a bit of a struggle. Two cups of coffee each morning is helping a teeny tiny bit. Woof.
I tried really hard to get better at my gratitude posts each day… until I realized it is still kind of cold outside and I work a lot, so you will continue to get pics of my dogs and random things around my house most of the time. Good news is I have a lot of things to be grateful for.
“As we express gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” -John F. Kennedy
Justin decided to come on my Wednesday evening run. You’ve heard the saying “Couple who run together get tired and sore together – and then go out and get a beer.” Well, at least that’s the saying in our house.
Disney has me figured out. I was a little too excited that they sent me a Thank You card for coming to visit them and they invited me back. They must have really loved my 700 thumbs up pictures I posted on Facebook, or Rafiki is asking for me.
Quiet Friday nights at home with the dogs… I had to work EARLY Saturday AM.
This is a friendship that I am grateful for every single day. The things we come up with to fill our Saturday nights… wedding dresses, PBR, pizza and SNL. My favorite was our adventure outside to sneak a drunken cig while completely decked out in these. Imagine just running into this. We had a few stories we would tell people if they asked, but I think most were too afraid to ask.
Meet Griffin. This is our friends new puppy. I love new puppy smells and how soft they are. I also love how awkwardly they run around. He is the most adorable thing.
Dashboard pictures are never the best, but I was headed to pick up my package from Fedex – it was my new spring dresses I ordered. The sunset was so beautiful that I literally stopped my loud sing along in the car to just look at it. Plus, I did love that it was still light out at 7:15 PM. Spring is coming.
GIRL’S NIGHT. Justin is working like a crazy person this week, so I escaped to the Northern suburbs for an evening with my sissy, her kiddos and her closest friends. Holly sent me an email last week and used this picture to describe girl’s nights:
I feel like I’m the one in the green dress that seems a little skeptical, but eventually just dives right in. We decided to do manicures and pedicures last night with the 2-4 year olds. Once their nails were painted, they thought they would return the favor and paint our nails. It’s hard to see my beautiful “rainbow style” manicure from the 4 year olds in the picture above, so I took a better one before taking off the nail polish before work this morning.
Each hand was done by a different 4 year old and I think they did a beautiful job. They were horrified when I explained that my toes were already done. The neon green was a nice touch.
So, for all of you out there who LOVE getting their nails done, I could hook you up with the two best girls in town. They even use a reading light to make sure that they have the proper lighting. Hope you are inspired to add a little color to your life… it might make you GONE WITH THE WIND fabulous (how have I NOT seen this yet?)
I would just love to run into 2 drunk and smoking brides sometime…that would be hilarious!1
4-year old manicures are lovely, aren't they? You have a fun life!
