I have to say that this is the BEST idea ever for Friday.  BACKTHATAZZUP with Whitney.  J Money (aka Justin) read my post from last Friday and was horrified that I left out so many good rappers.  I was happy to inform him that this is now a weekly thing I do and he can contribute whenever he likes.  Maybe I’ll let him gush about Bone Thugs and Westside Connection one of these days, but he did introduce me to a member of Death Row Records that I did not know.

I would like everyone to take a minute today and jam out to this song.   I don’t know about you, but I feel like a total bad ass.  I had to stare at spreadsheets for hours yesterday and so I finally decided that some music was necessary to pump me up and inspire me to make it through the day so I could go and enjoy happy hour.  I landed on this song and it really did the trick for me.

Also, I want to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Epic Rap Battles of History.  I apologize if you are easily offended (well, not really) but you probably shouldn’t watch all of these.  For those of you with a sense of humor like mine and a little nerdy side, you will appreciate everything this YouTube channel has to offer.  Here are some of my favorites that don’t involve politics or religion… I lied, I’m including Sarah Palin.  Get over it.

This weekend, I mistakenly signed myself up for a 7k run.  We’ll see how that goes – there is free beer at the end and Irish Dancers along the trail.  If I make it to the end, I’ll be happy.  Also, St. Patrick’s Day is amazing in St. Paul.  The streets close down and there are parades and street performers.  Last year, it was 73 degrees and this year it will be COLD, but we’ll roll with it.  On top of all that fun, we have a birthday celebration and J’s family from Arkansas are in town.  Here we go…
