We had an awesome weekend. Friday night, we had dinner with J’s parents and were in bed nice and early. It was so nice to have him home.
Saturday, we participated in the Animal Humane Society’s Walk for Animals. Our team had about 20 people and about 15 dogs. It was a little chilly, but we made it the full five miles and had a blast. We celebrated afterwards at Theresa’s Mexican Restaurant with Margaritas and lots of food. We had our own quatro de mayo celebration.
We woke up bright and early on Sunday morning to go cheer on Team Something Easy & some other friends at the Minnetonka Half Marathon. We found a great spot about 0.5 miles from the finish line and realized we had lawn chairs and a blanket in the trunk so we had a nice little set up for Justin, Caroline and myself. We cheered on runners for over an hour. We had so much fun just yelling and clapping. Completing a race like that is a huge accomplishment, so we were excited to get to see a few of our friends so close to the finish line. They were all smiling when they ran by and you could tell that they were prepared for the race.
I enjoyed a little patio time in the sun while Justin went to hang out with his dad and then we finished off our afternoon with Sol and Dos Equis and vegetarian tacos (and Bella – the cutest Chihuahua in all the land.)
Linking up with Sami. Hope you had a great weekend!
