Every year, I head to Atlanta for a few days for a work trip to visit our largest business partner. We spend day after day in lots and lots of meetings. I love the people that I work with, so it’s not torture, but I don’t love going to a city and not getting to explore. We eat at the same restaurant, have meetings in the same two buildings and stay at the same hotel every time. I’ve only ever seen the stretch of Highway 285 that runs from the southwest corner where the airport is to the northwest corner where we stay.
I would love to go to a Braves game, see downtown, meet NeNe Leakes (a girl can dream) and maybe even the aquarium, but instead I get a view of downtown and a nice king size bed.
Now, just as I’m about to direct you to my girl Sara’s blog, I realized that she is highlighting some things about Atlanta this week, so it’s even more perfect. Check her out. She can show you the fun things to do in Atlanta. I’m just going to hope that next time, I can sneak away for a little bit and have drinks with the ladies (and maybe Sara too).

Now I’m going to try to find my desk under all this paperwork and stuff that has built up. But not without leaving you with my song for BACKTHATAZZUP Friday.

2 years ago when I was in ATL for Supercross I made it a point to go to Kandi's store TAGS and wanted to see her. The store was awesome, but sadly I didn't see her.
GOne with the wind fabulous. I hate work trips. Mine are the same way, there are a million restaurants, yet we always eat at the hotel for the hotel points. Stupid.
I do love me some Atlanta! One of my fave cities to visit, but I've only been there twice I think! That does stink that you don't really get to explore much- I'd be sneaking away from those meetings!! haha!
Haha love those gifs!!! I've never been to Atlanta but I imagine I would want to do the same things you would want to do!
that stinks! can you break away?? tell them you're sick and then hop a cab to the city? next year's your year. do it!
You neeeed to let me know if you're ever back in Atlanta!! I'd love to get drinks with ya!!
I hate going somewhere and not really getting to experience anything about it.
Not gonna lie…I was in Atlanta for a conference a few years ago (and have to go back this fall again for another one) and I kind of hated it.
