My weekend really revolved around 2 things – work (which no one wants to hear about) and boy bands. Saturday night, a few of my girlfriends got together and went to see the Package Tour at the Target Center. It was everything I was hoping for and more.
Since everyone loves a good list, here is a list of the things I have learned from the Package Tour:
1. Boyz II Men can wear anything and make it look cool. Even white suits with sequins on the shoulders.

2. Rose petals falling from the ceiling makes “I’ll Make Love to You” even cheesier.
3. 98 degrees really is the worst boy band. Sorry. Not great dancers and so many songs no one knew.

4. Wearing suspenders hanging down from your waist makes me hope that you don’t have a stylist…
5. Donnie Wahlberg is the man – don’t forget that – but it’s a little weird to make out with an older lady at every show you do (I had a lot of people ask if this happened in Minneapolis – 30 seconds, full on tongue).
6. Fake tuxedo tanks/t-shirts will never get old in my book.

7. Paying $60.00 through Groupon for tickets was worth every penny. There was fire, fog, glitter, different stages and 3 1/2 hours of entertainment.
8. There will always be that one super fan in front of you that tapes the entire concert while singing every word… oh, and he’s with his girlfriend. Literally, he taped the entire concert. I hope he got all of our commentary throughout the show.
9. Sparkly Bruins jerseys are not OK. In Boston, you’d get your ass kicked for those. Still love NKOTB though and I love that they are representing their hometown pride. You can’t really see the sparkle in this picture, but I promise it was there.

10. Never underestimate boy band fans. The screaming was like nothing I’ve ever heard before. When you add in the fact that it was pretty much Magic Mike live on stage, things really escalated quickly.
So there you have it. The concert recap. Mind blown. We had some bar shenanigans afterward and then a sleepover at my house that my husband survived. That pretty much sums up my weekend.
Like seriously, I don't think I could be MORE jealous. And I'm 110% positive if I asked JC to go to this concert with me, he would say no, much less TAPE THE ENTIRE THING! That's insane.
The pre teen inside me has her hands up in the air, waving em like she just don't care…I would have given my tiger beat collection to go to that concert!!!
Sounds like a blast! I agree 100% about 98*, they are lucky they got in on the tail end of the boy band craze.
$60?! That is SUCH a deal for all that awesomeness. I'm dying over the rose petals falling… that is just amazing. I hope you caught one or two to put in your scrapbook forever 😉
I hope everyone is jealous that I was given the glorious opportunity to take part in this fabulous moment of your life with you. =)
That looks awesome!!! I'm jealous. I'm pretty sure glittering jerseys would get their asses kicked in Philly too. It's ridiculous
I don't get what Donny's doing with the mauling kisses of the women. The one from Philly was all over FB, it was apparently horrifying, she wanted nothing to do with it.
98 Degrees, can't name one song by them. I LOVE NKOTB and Boyz II Men though.
i still cant believe they are all on tour. I mean i would totally go for nostalgia but give it up boys!
Such a great rundown of this night! I FORGOT about the guy taping the entire show. I bet at least once per minute I will be heard in that video "is he STILL TAPING?!"
Also, that Vine is spot on. MIND. BLOWN.
My ear drums are still hurting from the screaming horny middleaged women.
good times good times!
oh my gosh we had the best concert weekends.
LOVED LOVED LOVED their concert. Donnie made out with a "lucky" fan here in LA, too. While it was a little disturbing I was totally jealous. 🙂
I was never really a 98 Degrees fan…. LOVE Boyz 2 Men though!
OMG, the fan taping the show? First, it's a guy AND he actually has a girlfriend? Hilarious.
I love Donnie but I'm bothered by this tongue action that I keep hearing about. Really, Donnie?
How did I not know this was a thing?!? Like…. Seriously this is a thing???? Beyond jealous. Wow.
Seriously, some of the best $60 ever spent! I had such a blast, I was just bummed I never saved the New Kids pins that were the size of my head… Remember that they had easels on the back so you can stand them up on your desk? They sure don't make boy band paraphernalia like they used to.
At the end of the Philly show, Boyz II Men came out in sparkle Phillies jerseys and New Kids came out in sparkle Red Sox jerseys and they sang Motown Philly together. I cried.
so awesome! they were also passing by my city (toronto) but tix were all sold out!!
Um yes. This is just plain awesome and then some.
