Yep, I’m the girl that just wrote a post about my cleaner eating habits and now I’m back to talking about donuts.
You guys, I can’t keep looking at Dunkin Donuts out my window. It’s killing me. For those of you who don’t know, there is a brand new DD opening up across the street from my apartment. The light up menus went up 2 nights ago which means it’s almost ready. I will probably be their first customer and I will consider it an honor.
In other news, yesterday seemed to just be a stupid day for a lot of people. I saw lots of tweets and Facebook updates about just being annoyed or frustrated. I felt the same way after reading a few emails at the end of my work day that were just dumb and incredibly frustrating. But, then two things happened that helped me pull myself together:
1. I got an email from an old employee of mine who was leaving our company as of yesterday. It was the sweetest note and it reminded me that I love the people I work with (most days.) Having daily contact with someone means you have a big impact on their life, whether you realize it or not. He thanked me for being a positive energy. His note was just what I needed to turn my mood around.
2. Erin from Two Thirds Hazel tweeted something about the news last night and how horrifying it was sometimes. I will agree that it almost always makes me mad/sad/frustrated. I realized that I had the perfect solution for her and I think it’s something everyone should have bookmarked on their computer. Click here now and get your daily dose of happiness. Right before I went to sleep, I checked Instagram (duh) and my friend, Caroline, had posted this and I felt like it was the best way to describe a crappy day.
Now go aim for something awesome.

I love that quote.
Yesterday was a frustrating day all day. Today is already infinitely better. Yin and yang high and low!
I NEED you to be the first customer.
Um having a DD across the street would be serious trouble for me, good luck with that! Also, I am super jealous.
i'm the same with the donut battle. i went for coffee and saw a fresh batch in the window. as in extra sprinkles on the donut and it just looked SO FREAKING GOOD. how much longer can we hold out??

I wish they would put a DD up in my neighborhood, or close to work. I'd be ALL OVER THAT and happy about it! I love that arrow quote, I've seen it on IG before. It's a good one!
Great… NOW I WANT DONUTS, TOO! Thanks a LOT. ;P
That quote is too perfect!! Definitely a good reminder to have when life feels rough.
I definitely stopped at DD this morning… oops!
Everything about this post: I love it. From DD to that awesome link to that quote. So much awesomeness.
Love the Good News link! I feel the same way- the news is usually so negative, I stop watching it. And now I want a donut… hmph!
I can't believe I'm admitting this but I ate three donuts on Sunday. THREE. I've been trying to cut back on sweets, and was doing a good job…until I wasn't! haha One across the street would be disastrous for me! Love that quote you posted, I'm having one of those days today & it is so important to stay focused on the positive!
DD across the street is dangerous business :). Just entered your giveaway!
a DD right across the street!? yeah..that's pretty dangerous. living near the food you love does greatly affect you. i have an addiction to panera bread and it's probably because of how close i live to it. i feel your pain!!
and never knew huffington post had a good news section! that's amazing!
That quote is awesome! Pinning it now!
Lol, I can't wait for that DD to open!
I love that quote! <3
I would die if a DD opened up across the street from my condo. I love their bagels, not much of a donut girl, but a bagel gets me every time.
