We stroll on Sundays. It’s kind of our thing. When we moved to the East Coast, we knew that we needed to soak as much in as possible. As the weather got nicer, the adventures started to multiply and our new Sunday tradition was born.
We are 4 weeks into this tradition and it is fantastic. We get up on Sundays whenever we feel like it and head into the city. Our first stop is usually Chelsea Market. We’ve been REALLY loving the shakes and juices from One Lucky Duck.
Once we are juiced up, we hit the streets. We wander through new neighborhoods. We walk through random shops and browse. We sit in the little city parks and people watch. We enjoy afternoon snacks and glasses of wine in new restaurants.
Our first stroll was the New York Botanical Garden for the Orchid Show. I enjoyed the outdoor parts of the park way more than the Orchid show.
Our second stroll was through Greenwich Village and the High Line Park.
And this week, we enjoyed the northern part of Central Park and then met some friends for a sidewalk lunch on Mulberry Street.
So this is our thing. If you come to town, you are welcome to join in. We usually end up covering a few miles and get to explore this amazing city. As the temperatures rise in the summer, I hope to take these strolls to beach towns and riverside parks. Do you stroll?
Well aren't you two the cutest little married couple ever? This is such a fun idea! Next time we're in NYC, I definitely want to visit Highline Park & Mulberry Street…and more of Central Park.
NYC is one of the best places to do that – get lost in those adorable little areas and wander the streets. i miss NYC!

I agree that that's one of the best things about NYC, how you can stroll for miles. We haven't strolled for a while, it's something I miss and sometimes my husband and I use to do more.
I love so much that you take advantage of where you live and don't just sit on the couch watching Netflix in one of the greatest cities in the world. There is definitely always something to see in New York!
I love that you do this. It's one of the best ways to discover/know a place. And please keep sharing your pics, they're fabulous!
We don't really stroll, MFD works on Sundays, but we do stroll whenever we're on vacation.
I'm so glad it's finally nice enough out to be able to do stuff like this! (Even if I don't do it b/c I'm a lazy piece of shit.)
TELL ME EVERYTHING ABOUT THE JUICE ON THE RIGHT!

I love my husband and I's weekend strolls, even if we are covering the same ground over and over we always see something new. Also, it's during these walks that we really get the best heart to hearts. Love all your photos 🙂
That an awesome tradition 🙂 And a great way to explore NYC!! So awesome!
You're SUCH a NYC-er now! I still haven't been to the high line yet – how was it?
This seems like a fantastic tradition! So sweet and you guys get to spend quality time together and explore your new city at the same time! Those smoothies look soo good
If I lived in New York most definitely!!! I think it is so important to take time together like that! I want to try this weekend with Mark thanks for the idea!
Ahhh, I love doing that! Sometimes Steve and I will hop a train to Philly, walk around and find a new place to lunch it up. Sometimes we got to my favorite park and people watch. I'm so glad you're making the most of this time here!
