I was recently cleaning out some photos and found this gem that was taken last year in the end of April. As I look out the window today, I’m pretty grateful that my new home takes spring a little more seriously.
It is pretty though. So, aside from being super happy that there is no snow on the ground, I’m sharing a few other favorite things this week.
Scandal. Now, I get it. Whenever J is traveling for work, I find myself searching for my next Netflix binge watch. I’ve been hearing about Scandal forever and finally started it last night… and watched the whole first season (thank goodness it was only 7 episodes.) Every time I would say that I would watch one more episode, something would happen that made me NEED to watch just one more.
Blogs about blogging. They were everywhere this week. It might be because of the American Blogger documentary that was released, but who knows. My favorite post that I read was this one from The Laurel Gazette.
Good phone conversations. I’ve learned that having an old fashioned chat session on the phone with girlfriends can probably solve all of your problems. I have a few friends with a really long commute and it works out perfectly to keep them entertained on their drive home. We are planning our first trip home in about a month and I’m pretty excited.
Vacations. I love reading vacation recaps. I don’t know why people always apologize for posting “too many pictures” because I want to see them ALL. My running partner took a quick trip to NYC and wrote about it yesterday here. Also, here is another blogger that apologizes for so many vacation recaps and I’m sitting on my couch wishing she would post even more from her recent adventures (here is a link to her last highlights post.) Is it just me that loves these?
This season in sports. I know I keep talking about it, but I love that my weekend includes hockey on TV tonight and my first game at Yankee Stadium tomorrow. I love football too, but these two sports overlapping just makes me so happy.
This song. It kind of just makes me happy.
Have so much fun at the yankee game! remember – garlic fries and cheese steak
when i first started watching scandal, i was all over it!! as in i legit ignored my husband for the first 2 seasons 🙂

I love scandal! I binge watched season one and have watched every episode weekly since then! The show is just good. Have a great weekend!
i LOVE vacay recaps. more pictures, more! they are my fave part! so glad there is no snow on the ground here right now. over that!
That photo is so beautiful! Snow and all 😉 I love vacation posts too– and I still haven't watched Scandal… yet!
I'm going to pretend I didn't even see that first picture. I'm so happy you finally get to experience Spring in all it's glory.
And thanks for sharing my NYC recap! #yourethebest #arewestillrunning?
So jealous of your weekend plans! Love a good baseball game – especially with this gorgeous weather headed to the east coast tomorrow!
I keep hearing about Scandal but have never watched it! Must be really good. So happy you're experiencing an actual spring!
I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw the picture of snow. I migrated to the south in adulthood and am now anti-snow. Have fun at the Yankee game! It will be a wonderful experience. I haven't been since they moved to the new stadium but I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time!
I love seeing a ton of vacation photos.
I don't mind reading blogs about blogging, but I never write them. I do mind reading blogs that whine about how hard blogging is. It's a choice.
I love looking at vacation photos too! And I love posts about blogging. I learn something new every time I read one.
I actually don't mind vacation recaps either. I prefer them with the people in the picture though, rather than just 274397 pictures of the location by itself.
That picture is gorgeous!!!! Mark is a Yankees fan and I'm from Boston….it's a good thing we have the Gators in common 😉 Thanks so much for linking up! xoxo
I am such a Scandal addict! I did the same thing and binge watched the first 2 seasons over the past few weeks.
Gahhhh! Scandal!!!! So glad you got in on that action finally. It sux when you finally catch up and have to wait for new episodes like all the other suckers out there!!! haha
I had the same problem with Scandal. I just kept watching. There is one season that has a TON of episodes. I wanted to punch myself because I simply could not stop watching!
I hate talking on the phone andyely I've been embracing it only because the people I've been making time for are simply awesome!
I too love a ton of pictures! Bring 'em on!
The "just one more episode" plea with Scandal is why I have not slept much in the last two weeks. Eep! That show!!!!!!!!!
Have a great time at the Yankee game. Remember to take a tour of the free museum there – it's worth the time.
Also, I don't wany to see any more snow pics for awhile!
I love a good long phone conversation with a good friend! Of course, I wish I could get some in person time with my lady friends, but long distance is made much easier by good conversations instead of random texts 🙂
