Happy December friends. The holiday season is here. Another new month, another update on the things I’m doing right now.
Reading Chelsea’s to-do list for December and How to Talk to a Widower by Jonathon Tropper (thanks Steph for the recommendation). I have 5 more books to finish this year to hit my goal of 26 books. The colder it gets, the more I want to stay in my pajamas and read books.
Eating peppermint flavored Hershey kisses. Last month, I wrote that I was eating less sugar and this month, I’m eating them straight out of the bag. Also, I found my new favorite brunch item from good restaurant in NYC. It was a goat cheese & basil egg dish with tomatoes & asparagus + brunch punch. It was absolutely amazing.
Watching Christmas movies finally. I held off until this weekend and it was worth it. Also, we finally started Homeland Season 3 and the first 3 episodes were a little boring. I’m hoping they get a little more exciting.
Anticipating our trip to the motherland. We are packing up the dogs and our holiday gifts and heading back to the motherland to celebrate the holidays a little early (plus get some work things done in our Minneapolis office.) It will be fun to spend more than 48 hours in the Twin Cities – I just hope it’s above zero degrees.
Listening to the Serial podcast still. We will be totally caught up after our trip home and I can’t wait. It’s so good.
Working to get 10,000 steps every day. I love having a FitBit and it is going to help me get through the next month without gaining back all the weight that I’ve lost this year. 10,000 steps a day every day this month.
Loving the fact that my Christmas shopping is done except a few small things for my girlfriends. Also, we spent some time yesterday at Chelsea Market and discovered Limegreen. If you are looking for some all natural products, check their stuff out. We bought a few things for family, but I will be ordering more online soon.
Smelling my Sweater Weather candle which is on it’s final moments, then we switch to Christmas candles.
That’s all I’ve got for today. I’ve got a ton of work to do and lots of packing. Happy holiday season!!!
I loved the first two seasons of Homeland, but really couldn't get into Season 3. I haven't started watching Season 4 yet, but I've heard it's back to being good again and maybe even better than Season 1. I'm hopeful!! Oh, and I can't wait to get some Christmas scented candles. It always makes the house so warm and cozy 🙂
I've been hearing a lot about Serial lately!
What episode of Serial are you on?
I'm glad you're enjoying that book!
Thanks for including me, friend!
