Happy Friday friends! Hope you all had a successful and wonderful week. Did you buy all the things on Amazon Prime and the Nordstrom Sale? I didn’t because I need to get rid of things again, but I did go through and check the prices of the things on my “wish list.”
- We have a tiny camping trip planned this weekend and I’m so excited to use our new tent. We picked out this one after lots of researching and REI trips. Before this, we only had a giant and heavy Coleman tent that we got for our wedding, so this is a big trip for us.
- I work for a company that works with lots of contractors and small business owners and many of them were not born here in America. In the last few months, I’ve spent time learning about so many of our partners and their journey to be in the US and working here. It has opened my eyes about how little I know about the immigration process (before our current asshat president and now with the new administration.) I want to always have a book on my “currently reading” list that tells these stories and gives more insight into the journeys that families take. I found this list of 12 Nonfiction books about Immigration to start, but if you have any books you’ve read or just resources to learn more about it – send them my way. The more you know, the more you can help. Right?
- Harry Styles is so much cooler than I even realized. Not only did he sell out almost his entire stadium tour after releasing just one album, but he quietly raised tons of money for charities and helped promote some amazing causes. Read this article to get the details.
- I have been failing a little on my Summer Bucket List, but I’m diving back in this weekend. Spending as much time playing outside as possible and maybe a little campaign assistance as well. If you haven’t registered to vote yet, do it now. Some states are reaching their deadlines so don’t put it off another day.
- My new favorite product that Beautycounter has developed is this Overnight Resurfacing Peel. It is super easy to add to your routine because you can put it on in the evenings a few nights a week and once it dries, continue on your business, but you see a difference in your skin within a few days. It minimizes appearance of your pores, fine lines and dark spots and it is magical.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with outdoor time, books and a little self care.
