I have been an Amazon Prime member for a few years now. I love shopping local, but I also love the convenience of ordering weird stuff online and having it show up at my door. I’ve been taking advantage of the “no hurry” credits if you opt out of the 2 day shipping and have stored up some credits. We also use the Amazon Visa which is 5% back on any Amazon or Whole Foods purchase. It’s wonderful.  I wanted to share some of my recent favorite purchases from Amazon because I love reading lists like this (affiliate links included.)

Also, Prime day is Monday (and part of Tuesday), so it’s a pretty good time to join prime. Then you can binge watch the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel before the Emmy’s.

Favorite Amazon Purchases

Yoga Toes

I love these little things. I broke my foot in college and have weird foot pain that the doctor can’t really help. I spent at least 45 minutes reading reviews and success stories on these that I ordered them and I love them. It makes me feel productive while watching TV. Check them out here (and read the reviews.)

Organic Mermaid Dry Shampoo

I chopped my hair off and that requires a little more maintenance – or dry shampoo. I had seen this grace the pages of at least one magazine and a few blog posts and I have to admit, the name got me. I also liked that it was powder instead of a spray. This stuff is fantastic and works like a dream. You can check it out here.

Clip-On Silicone Colander

Am I the only person that has lost some noodles down the sink drain? I hope not. If you’re like me, you need this. It clips on all sizes of pots that we have. I’m obsessed. It has saved so many lost noodles and veggies from going down the drain when I’m cooking. If you’re like me, buy one.

Supergoop! Forever Young Hand Cream with SPF 40

As I get older, I think about anti-aging products. I have a love affair with Beautycounter for most products in my life, but their hand cream doesn’t have SPF. Old lady hands are real and I want to fight them. Your hands get as much sun every day as your face, if not more, so having SPF in your hand cream is brilliant. I love that this stuff doesn’t have a strong scent and it makes my hands super soft, plus it protects them from wrinkles. Wins all the way around. There are two sizes of this one Amazon if you want to test it out first, you can get the smaller one here.

Royal Anti-Aging Jade Roller

While we are on the “anti-aging” products, I’m sharing this. I don’t think that it really makes a huge difference on my skin, BUT I love using it after I put facial oils on my face. It feels amazing especially with the hot summer temps outside. I’ve heard of people putting it in the fridge when they aren’t using it, but I think it stays nice and cool in my bathroom cabinet. It’s a nice little face massage at the end of the day. Plus, it’s real cheap.

Tenements, Towers & Trash: An Unconventional Illustrated History of New York City

If you have a friend that misses New York City, lives there or just really loves NYC, this would be a great gift. I gifted it to myself and I love paging through it a little bit at a time. I think illustrated books like this are the best gifts. People rarely pick them up for themselves, but it always makes for a good conversation topic if it’s on our bookshelf and people can page through it while hanging out without making a huge commitment.

The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales

This is another book I ordered recently to keep on our shelf at home. Our nieces come over every once in a while and I wanted something new for them to check out. I read this as a kid and it always stuck out as a favorite because it’s the other side of some of the most popular fairy tales. I haven’t seen this in a book store for a while and it popped into my head recently and I just had to order it.

And my wish list to see if it goes on sale on Prime Day includes…

This tabletop fireplace that runs off Ethanol and doesn’t require a vent. Is it even real?

Disturbed Friends – a card game that should be banned. I’m hoping it’s like Cards Against Humanity, but also different.

These lightweight camping chairs – only 2 lbs makes them easy to cart around for camping and just backyard hopping.

This cookbook that is defined as “good for you, but not too good for you” and that sounds like exactly what I’m looking for in life.

And if I win the lottery, I would buy this.

Are you a Prime member? Have you bought anything lately that you want to share? I will obviously be browsing Monday, but there isn’t really anything I need. Happy Friday friends!
