Shocked that it’s already October. The summer went at a perfect pace with great weather and lots of fun stuff. I don’t know what happened to the month of September.
Watching The Good Place. Kristen Bell and Ted Danson are just the tip of the iceberg. This is one of my favorite ensemble casts ever. We also watched the first few episodes of Ozark. People say that the second season is even better, so I’m super excited.
Reading Still Me by Jojo Moyes and I was pretty skeptical because it’s the third book in this series, but they are all different enough to be their own stories. Plus, it has all the New York nostalgia and I’m feeling that hardcore right now.
Counting down until the end of the month. We are heading back to New York at the end of a work trip. It’s funny because I don’t miss living there every day, but when it hits, it hits hard and I start researching flights. I’m so excited.
Listening to the Hamilton soundtrack. We got last minute tickets to Hamilton in Minneapolis and it was everything I was hoping it would be.
Eating squash, squash and more squash. It’s the season of my favorite vegetable. It doesn’t matter what kind. Our local pizza place has a fall special with butternut squash, garlic and cheese.
Grateful that 4 of our best friends have come to Minnesota in the last few months to visit. We had the best time showing them around in our hometown while the weather was perfect. We covered a lot of ground and had so much fun. It also helped remind me that we need to make a point to visit our friends that live other places as much as possible. It’s so fun to get to show someone around your home.
Thinking about the last week with Kavanaugh’s face plastered all over the place. I’ve been mostly angry and upset. Today is the first day of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I dropped off a Costco load of donations at a house for women in Minneapolis this weekend with Justin and I want to do it again multiple times this month in as many ways as possible. I’m going to do a Beautycounter special to help this cause in the next week, so stay tuned, but if you want to join me – comment below and I’ll find a way for everyone to join in. When things suck in the real world, I have to use my bottled up anger to do something to improve the earth. If I don’t, I’ll just explode.
Excited for Election Day. There are so many amazing candidates running. PLEASE get registered RIGHT THIS SECOND and then start researching the bad ass people in your district that are running. I’m so excited about the people locally in Minnesota that I will be voting for.
Happy October friends.
