It is Friday in New Zealand and I figured it’s a great day to share some things I’m loving this week.
Our Community
This includes our families, friends and anyone that has decided to follow our adventure on Instagram or via the blog. It would take me years and lots of writer’s cramp to send thank you notes to all the people I feel grateful for in the last few months as we’ve prepped for this trip and left. In this first week alone, we’ve had friends share our site to their friends & families, had a FaceTime Taylor Swift dance party with one of the nieces, gotten the sweetest emails just grandparents just checking in and have been able to share 3 posts so far about the places we’ve visited.

The Kindle Paperwhite
I was not on the e-reader bandwagon before this trip because I love holding a real book, but when you have to get rid of all your belongings and live out of one suitcase, you must make a change. I ordered one of these (click here to see the specific model) for each of us and it is just perfect. I used to have the kindle fire and I didn’t love it. This one is small, but not too small. It has a light, but no glare. The battery seems to last forever. The best part is that I can still connect to our library thousands of miles away.
Friends from College
This show makes me cringe over and over, but it is one of my favorite Netflix originals. We started watching the newest season this week and it just keeps getting better.
AirBnB (and the hosts)
We are currently in our third AirBnB of our trip and all three places have been better than we were anticipating. We have only met one of our hosts so far, which is disappointing for us, but everyone has been so sweet and welcoming. I’m going to do a roundup of our favorite places on the Tumbling Nomads site, but I think it will be hard to pick if the next few are this good.
