It’s Friday and we have spent the week quietly in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I have done a ton of writing and photo organizing this week and it feels great. We are officially booked for the rest of our Asia adventure and we officially have our next two destinations picked and are making the final bookings today. Sometimes a week with good internet, a washing machine and rain can make for a super productive time. Because it’s Friday, here are a couple things I’m loving this week.
Happy Cow
This app has been a lifesaver for us. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, this app will help you find restaurants wherever you are that serve food you can eat. It also lets you read other reviews from people that have visited.
Rainy Days
We finally have some rain during our trip. This might be the most annoying thing ever, but we have had sunny days and blue skies for 99% of our trip so far. A couple rainy days this week have been so welcome. Having a reason to stay inside all day and read books and not do any exploring. Just a little quiet time for us to do our own thing. It was magical.
I know this is no new thing for anyone on the internet. I just have to give it credit because planning travels is so much easier with Pinterest. We have built itineraries and found off the beaten path places thanks to things we’ve found and saved on Pinterest. It is also the way we keep all recipes we want to try and ones that we have tried and loved. It finally feels like I’m maximizing this magical corner of the internet. Do you follow me?
Modern Family
This gem of a show is on Netflix in the countries we’ve been in recently and we’ve been watching it when we want a little downtime. It’s hilarious. I think we stopped watching after the 4th season when we cut out TV and went to just streaming services. I’m so happy that we’ve been able to binge.
Laos
I wrote this love letter to Laos on our travel blog. I can’t say enough amazing things about this place. It became a quick favorite for me. Being surrounded by green mountains, the most wonderful people and so much history – it was such a moving place for me.
Is Laos on your list? Do you use Pinterest to plan trips? What are you loving right now?
