I got an email last week that this domain was up and I needed to renew it. I realized that I had not even opened a new draft page on this blog in over four months. But the truth is, I couldn’t let it go to the internet graveyard. I’ve been writing on this website for ten years.
It has been the place where I shared my biggest fears about moving to the east coast, recaps of amazing weekends with friends and so many different vacation posts like this one.
Most of my internet time now is spent sharing on our travel website because we’ve been on the road for nine months now and it’s the best way to keep our families, friends and other internet people up to date. But I miss writing about random things on twitter, sharing all the books I’ve read and telling ridiculous stories like this one.
Now that we are back in the US, I’m going to do a few things with this website. I’m going to update the look because it’s been a long time and I don’t love the current set up. I’m going to share more about daily thoughts and things. I want to organize posts a little more so things are easier to find. Most importantly, I’m just going to write again here because it’s fun and I can share all the random thoughts floating around in my brain. It has been a crazy year and I have kept a great journal, but I miss just typing it out and being able to include photos and videos to go with the crazy stories.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas. We are holed up in Colorado doing a little dog sitting and staring at the mountains. It’s the perfect place to do a little reflecting on what’s next and take some very deep breaths. The decade is almost over. Take some deep breaths of your own.
